We have received a tremendous boost to our hobby from US 131 Dragway in the form of the Bug Runs. We appreciate their support of the car shows and swap meets that we are most interested in. One of the ways we can say "Thank You" is to support their events. A good turn out of air coolers at a Test and Tune event would be a great way to do this. Please respond to this post and I'll edit the post to form a sign-up sheet for a club event on Oct 5 at their test and tune which runs from noon to 6pm. You don't have to abuse your car, just make some passes down the strip. Should be great fun. I will make up some kind of trophy that will be awarded to one of our members that participate. The more that sign up, the harder I'll work on the trophy. It will cost you $12 for admission and $8 to run your car, if I'm reading their website correctly.

Kenn, I sure hope you can make it. Plus it will give you and I some experience for something do when we get kicked out of the go-karts for good...............

I'm going to Pumpkin Fest too, Dustin. Hope we can get more people to come, should be a good time too

Is this Test and Tune for all makes and models or is it just a VW event? I would not mind running my Ghia down the track but I only have a stock 1500 cc engine. It is tough for me to keep up with Ruffuss and John. If I do go I will have the slowest car. What I am afraid of is getting paired up with a stock Geo Metro and losing. ;D

Hi AJ. This one of the regular test and tune events they hold. All kinds of cars. I've never run one of their events, but it sounds like you practice and then can put on a dial-in (what you expect to run) and you will get a timed headstart against faster cars. We might get a headstart if running againg a big block Chevelle.......... I did this once at Stanton and they allowed guys to pair up against each other you just have to get in line together. None of us are serious about this, its just for fun and supporting the racetrack that supports us.

Should I put you down as a "yes"?
