Hey Guys looks like we are inveted back to the Bavarian Festival on the 11/12 of June (Sat/Sun) for those of you that were not able to make it last year There are lots of things to do at this event. They have German folk dancing and the shoeplatzers (like bar room type dancing where the guys slap each other and use axes on wood and stuff to the music). There will be beer in attendance everywhere and we are allowed to partake (but not get out of hand of course). Lots of good food. there are carnie rides for the kids. Sunday there is a big parade. Its really a good time for all and Id lilke to see this grow into an event we can be showcased at as there is also a lot of media in attendance. Changes for this year. They want to have more activity around us so they will be moving alot of the pavilian activity outside near us. We get parked near the river and it is a very nice area with picnic tables and facilities available to us.
What I need by the 4th of june is a head count so that we can get free entrence tickets to the pavilian. We had only like 9 cars at the last event and Im really trying to shoot for 20 this year between us and the MVVC. We almost were not reinvited due to the light turn out but I explained to the commitee yesterday that it was due mostly in part to it being a last min addition to our shows and that it was the first year and we did not know what to expect. I hope to have a better showing this time.
Oh Ill need the banner again this yesr
Let me know if you can go,
Thanks
Dan

Is this required for both days for attendence or is one day ok? Do you commute each day or did anyone stay in a hotel last year if they stayed for both days? What were the start and finsih times of being parked there each day? It does look like a nice place.

There is no "required" at any of this. You can show up either day I would like to get a headcount for the powers that be though. You are wlecome to camp out at our house if you have a tent and use our "fascilities" I live only a few blocks from the event. There are lots of hotels in the area and if you need help finding one let me know. I think it would be fun to have a bunch of campers at my place I got lots of grass space and a full bath in the garage.

Fortunately I am only about 45 minutes away, but it did POUR on the way home.
Good time, and last year they had a nice VFW chicken dinner as well. Will they be there this year again?

Yup Frankenmuth is all about the chicken and beer AJ you are more than welcome to camp with the camper at my house. There is plenty of parking on my property and I have a real nice full bathroom that is hooked onto the garage by complete I mean nice shower / toilet/ sink/ hottub. Anyway mecasasucasa If you ever wanted a LOT of people to look at your car this is the event. We had two bay campers at the last show and they got lots of attention. Id love to have some rat stuff there this year (madmike?)

Dan:
From a LONG time SAAB owner and racer, the V4 is actually a Ford engine. Still in production as an industrial engine. Used in the German Tanus auto from the mid-60's.
Now that everyone has been enlightened...my work is done. Off to the Fortress of Solitude!

Mama Splash: They are from Sunday...it was the only day I could make it. Dan was in the parade, and making as much noise and smoke as possible! Wait until this year with his exhaust "modifications!" Dave
